Kunjio Technologies ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information when you use our website at www.kunjio.in and our K-AMS (Kunjio HRMS) application at hrms.kunjio.in (collectively, the "Services").

1.1 Information you provide

When you register for a trial or account, we collect the following information:

  • Company information: Company ID, company name
  • Contact information: Name, email address, phone number
  • Account credentials: Password (stored in hashed form, never in plain text)
  • Employee data: When you use K-AMS, you may enter employee names, emails, phone numbers, attendance records, leave records and related workforce data

1.2 Information collected automatically

We may automatically collect certain technical information including IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data through standard server logs and analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your K-AMS account and company profile
  • To provide the attendance management features and services you have subscribed to
  • To communicate with you about your account, billing, support requests and service updates
  • To verify company identity and prevent fraud or abuse of our Services
  • To improve our Services, develop new features and enhance user experience
  • To comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian laws

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by our hosting provider. We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures including:

  • Encrypted password storage using industry-standard hashing algorithms
  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit between your browser and our servers
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only
  • Regular security reviews and updates

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we are committed to implementing best practices.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Services. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow for account reactivation, after which it may be permanently deleted. You may request early deletion of your data by contacting us at support@kunjio.in.

5. Multi-Tenant Data Isolation

K-AMS is a multi-tenant application. Each company's data (employees, attendance, leave, reports) is isolated by a unique Company ID. Employees and administrators can only access data belonging to their own company. Our superadmin team has access for the purposes of support, billing and system administration.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (e.g. hosting, email delivery) who help us operate our Services, under contractual obligations of confidentiality
  • Legal compliance: If required by law, court order or government authority under applicable Indian law
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, data may be transferred with appropriate notification

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: You can request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
